Big Baker Beefing Up

We know this post is way overdue, but this parenting thing is not as easy...who are we kidding, no one said this was going to be easy! Due to the delay in posting, Baker has achieved many more milestones and we have done so much these passed two months.

Where do we start? Last post, Baker had rolled over from back to front....he is now going both ways with frequency. He has started to scoot and turn while on his belly, which is obviously a precursor to Bake Bake crawling all over the place. What else? Baker and Dad had their first overnight alone, he went to a basketball practice, a playoff basketball game, and a baseball game.

On the way to my first baseball game!

The Chattanooga Byrons took a short jaunt down to Birmingham for Baker's first St. Patrick's Day. We did not plan the trip so we only communicated with Aunt Julia and surprised Ben and Uncle Matt! They were both pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed watching and playing basketball on Saturday and went shopping on Sunday. The following are Aunt Julia's pictures, as we forgot our camera...

That Monday, Baker had his 4 month check up on Grandpa Whitney's Birthday! He weighed in at 17 pounds and 5 ounces, was 25 inches tall, and had a 43 cm head! The doctor also said he was 'perfect'!
Baker's first modelling shoot (actually it's just his 4 month check up!)
The doctor gave Baker the go ahead to eat rice cereal for 3 weeks and then move on to real food! He didn't know what to think at first, but grew to love his cereal.  Then, the squash (homemade by Sandra and Grandma Olga) came! He LOVES squash!

Grandma Olga came to Chattanooga to see Baker and watched him while Mom and Dad went to the NCAA Elite Eight in Atlanta. She stayed for a few days to hang with the little man. Daddy's birthday was later that week and Baker was very well behaved at dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Judy, Uncle Justin, New Lindsey, Mom and Dad.

That brings us to Aunt Judy's visit. We have always thought of Grandma Byron and Aunt Judy as 'twins', but Sandra very fittingly coined the term "Sudy" for the two of them! Baker loves his Grandma and equally loved his Aunt Judy. We unfortunately didn't get the camera out during her visit, which was filled with dinners, a wonderful meatball lesson, and an engagement party for Kelly and Mary Martha. This was the night that Baker stayed with a babysitter for the first time. Samantha was the manager for Zach's basketball team, and she and a friend kept Baker and Ben for a few hours!

We did get a picture of all the Byron Boys!

The next weekend was Easter, and we spent the weekend in Dandridge with Sandra's family. Baker went to his first mass and spent the entire day with family he made it a few hours in his first Easter outfit!

My first Easter Egg hunt!

The next weekend were the first nights for Mom and Dad away from Baker. It was a tough go at first, but we kept ourselves busy in Charlotte with wedding activities. Baker stayed in Dandridge with Grandma Garland, Grandma and Grandpa Woods, and Aunt Marian.

We almost forgot our new best friend courtesy of Cousin Benjamin....the bouncy chair music saucer thingy!

He absolutely loves his new toy. He will just bounce and talk for hours.

Again, we are sorry for the delay with this post. With a baby this cute, we need to share!
