Baker "Chunk Monk" Byron hit one month yesterday.  "Chunk Monk" is the new nickname around the house because he weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs 11 oz at the doctor Thursday!

The pictures above are pre and post Christmas shopping. He was tuckered out!

We have had a few outings lately: to Grandma and Grandpa's on Signal Mountain, to Wal-Mart, some brief Christmas shopping, and the big one to Knoxville to see more family. He does very well when riding in his car seat and venturing out of the house.

 He did some sun bathing while hanging out with Grandpa Byron during his post surgery recovery on the mountain.

 

 Uncle Matthew and cousin Benjamin came to visit.  Benjamin was very interested this time around and would even point and say "Baby?"

When he wasn't paying his baby cousin attention, Ben was testing out Baker's toys....

Baker also got a visit from his Aunt Tara and possibly his first girlfriend, Amelia (she sure wanted to hold hands!)...

Baker also took his first bath in the big bath tub...and he made his own bubbles, which Dad got a good laugh out of...

After some initial resistance, Baker has found that he absolutely loves bath time.  Mom and Dad have also loved how sleepy it makes the big guy!

1st 2 Weeks

We know this update is a little late, but we are new to this parenting thing!

In Baker's first two weeks in this sweet world, he has had a plethora of naps, meals and dirty diapers. He has also had many loving visitors....aunts, uncles, grandparents, godparents, and friends.

Baker's newest friend is his monkey, Patty Cake....get it....Baker's Man!

Bake Bake is trying, much to his frustration, to hold his head up.  (below is after a failed attempt)

We experienced quite a few firsts since the last post: our first night alone with the lil guy, first doctor's appointment, first real bath, first of many changing table mishaps, first bouncy chair and swing experiences, belly button falling off, etc

Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Karen, and cousins Emilee and Eli came down to see the new addition...

Princess Godmother Lea

We are very proud parents of a healthy baby boy.  He has been eating very well on his first full day at home. The first visit to the pediatrician awaits us tomorrow
