Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Better late than never...

We have no excuses for the delay in posts this time. Other than the fact that Baker is a complete handful. He is into everything: the dog bowls, the kitchen cabinets, the fridge, the buffet, etc! He is cruising around the house and even getting some consecutive steps together (as many as 10!)

He is a dancing machine. He loves "Brown-Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison due to the fact that Grandma Byron has that song as her phone ringer. He bounces and shakes his knee like Elvis! He even went to his first Music Festival this weekend: 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival on Chattanooga's riverfront. He danced with little girls and had his picture made with Keller Williams.

Since our last post, we have traveled to Florida with Uncle Matt, Aunt Julia, cousin Benjamin, and Grandma and Grandpa Byron. Baker followed Ben around like a puppy. He learned to climb stairs, played in the surf, and enjoyed his family time at the beach.

He has spent a couple weekends at Grandma and Grandpa Woods house in Dandridge. Mom and Dad had a long wedding weekend for Uncle Wilbur and Aunt Lizard and also had an anniversary weekend in Atlanta at Music Midtown. These are the longest weekends for us without him.

Baker has had his 8, 9, and 10 month Birthdays. At his 9 month doctor's appointment, Bake was 22 pounds and 28 inches tall. They pricked his toe without the slightest tear shed. The doctor said his iron levels were good enough to move him to whole cow's milk if we desired.  He moved up to the one-year-old classroom at daycare and has come home with all types of artwork that we have proudly hung on the fridge.

Baker's vocabulary is growing by the day. He says "dah" for dog, "da" for dad (there is a difference, just hard to get across typing), "uh oh", "mama", "bye bye" while waving. He also blows kisses, puts the phone up to his ear, points the remote at the tv, puts his sippy cup on the coaster, and eats everything you put in front of him. Baker attempts to get food on his spoon and feed himself, but he is not quite there. He loves his dogs so much and knows the difference between his toys and their toys. He will walk their toys over to them and is becoming much gentler with his petting!

It is hard to believe that our little man will be turning 1 next month. We will be baptizing him at St. Augustine Church on Signal Mountain on his birthday with a party to follow at Grandma and Grandpa Byron's.

Please enjoy the pics that follow.
